WEBit's a good time to be uncommon. Welcome to the world’s most exciting new sparkling wine region, England. We share similar soils to Champagne and have a climate akin to theirs 50 years ago. Unbelievably for some, we now rival some of the finest wines in the world.

WEBThe backbone of some of the world’s best white wines and the third in the trinity of Champagne varietals, bringing body and class to our wines. Bacchus England’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc, suitably named after the Greek god of wine and pleasure.

WEBIn 2017, with 5 tonnes of Bacchus grapes we seized the opportunity to crush preconceptions and became the first in the UK to can English wine. In 2022, we are still the very finest by bringing you award-winning wines in the unexpected ways. Without compromise. The can is just the start.

The Uncommon: how rosé has become shining star of English wine
WEBMay 23, 2024 · Our first wine in 2017 was a Bacchus. An aromatic bubbly white wine. At that time, England was best known for traditional method sparkling white wine, so we created an Uncommon variation on that theme. In 2019, we released ‘Eleanor’ our Bubbly Pinot Noir Rosé and it became a huge hit.
