REDDING, Calif. (AP) — Heavy rain and flash flooding soaked roads in northern California, leading to water rescues from vehicles and homes and at least one confirmed death, authorities said Monday.

At least on person has reportedly died following flooding, as weather warnings span much of the state as of early Monday.
" Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible" across most of Northern California, including the entire Sacramento Valley, northern San Joaquin Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills, according to the National Weather Service. Yosemite National Park and the Yosemite Valley could also see flooding, the weather service said.
