According to NFL Media, Fields suffered a dislocated toe that contains no fracture, and it was not his big toe. The Jets have yet to confirm that diagnosis, but if it's accurate, then Fields can probably be back on the field within a few weeks unless he ends up needing surgery.
While the exact timetable for how long Fields w ill be sidelined is uncertain, the team announced he is listed as day-to-day. That timeframe allowed him to warm up on July 25, and he is expected to be back in the fold in some form, whether that's individual drills or otherwise.
Aaron Glenn maintains optimistic outlook despite losing new quarterback to foot injury during Thursday's practice.
