Atlanta Falcons right tackle Kaleb McGary will miss significant time and is headed to injured reserve after getting carted off at practice this week with a lower left leg injury, coach Raheem Morris said Friday night.

When healthy, the Falcons have one of the NFL's best offensive lines, but there isn't a ton of depth behind the starting five. Seventh-round pick Jack Nelson is one option, although the rookie lacks the NFL experience to be Michael Penix Jr.'s blind-side protector.

Falcons starting right guard Kaleb McGary was carted off the practice field Wednesday with an apparent leg injury.
