An attack on tourists in India's Himalayan territory of Kashmir this week sparked a new crisis between nuclear armed South Asian neighbours India and Pakistan, with New Delhi blaming militants with "cross-border linkages" for the killings.

Members of the Indian diaspora in France gathered in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower here to condemn Pakistan for "harbouring and supporting terror activities" and expressed solidarity with the victims of the recent brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam in which 26 tourists were killed and several others were injured.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi blamed the Indian Army for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, calling them inefficient and useless, while also mocking Indian media and former cricketers. His controversial comments have sparked outrage.
