Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mercury, and Saturn will all be briefly visible in the evening sky. This phenomenon, known as a 'planetary parade' is a rare sight, and it will be the last time seven planets can be seen simultaneously until 2040.

Stargazers are in for a celestial treat this week as a magnificent planetary alignment is set to illuminate the heavens. Seven planets will simultaneously sit above the horizon – an extraordinary event that won't repeat for another 15 years.

To see the parade, find a dark place with a clear view of the western horizon at nightfall. Mercury and Saturn will be low in the sky, brushing past each other in the fading glow of the evening sun, which will make the pair difficult to spot. Trace that line of sight higher to find Venus, the most brilliant planet in the sky.
