Washington — The House convened Wednesday to take up President Trump's Senate-passed massive domestic policy bill, to approve changes to the legislation ahead of a July 4 deadline to get the bill to the president's desk for his signature.

The debate within President Donald Trump's Republican Party over a massive tax-cut and spending bill returns to the House of Representatives on Wednesday, as party leaders try to overcome internal divisions and meet a self-imposed July 4 deadline.

The House is expected to turn to the Trump-backed GOP agenda bill today after the Senate narrowly passed the sweeping domestic policy package yesterday following a marathon overnight session that spanned more than 24 hours and saw votes on dozens of amendments.
