It's still early. We're barely through the opening weekend of the NBA's annual summer league in Las Vegas. But it's not too early for some takes on the 2025 draftees.

The Miami Heat have taken their next-gen developmental process to a whole new level at the Las Vegas NBA Summer League.

NBA Summer League in Las Vegas continued on Tuesday with a handful of exciting rookies in action. Philadelphia 76ers No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe made his debut in Las Vegas, while New Orleans Pelicans' Derik Queen faced Portland Trail Blazers' Yang Hansen.

Minnesota defeated Detroit, 89-73, at Thomas & Mack Center. Chaz Lanier started and played 26 minutes for the Pistons. He totaled 12 points, one rebound and one block against the Timberwolves. Lanier converted 4-of-14 field goal attempts and 4-of-12 three-point attempts.
