An impeachment proceeding against Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte can't proceed due to a constitutional limit on the annual number of impeachments.

The Philippine Supreme Court has ruled an impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte violated the country’s constitution due to a technicality.

MANILA: Senate President Francis Escudero said fellow senators agreed in a caucus on Tuesday (July 29) to decide on the Supreme Court's ruling — which voided the impeachment articles against Vice President Sara Duterte — next week.
