Texas students in public high schools must pass a personal finance class to graduate, starting with the class of 2030.

Tuesday was the first day of school for many North Texan students. School districts not only welcomed new students, they’re also managing new laws, from a bill ending DEI policies to another calling for parent-populated library book councils.

New state law means no phones or other personal devices can be used from the first bell to the last in Texas public schools.
