Drivers are no longer required to leave the house to renew a license as the Arizona Department of Transportation announced Thursday the process can now be done online.

Those who have Arizona driver licenses with an expiration date between Mar. 1, 2020 and Feb. 28, 2021 have an extension of one year from the expiration date to pay for a renewal.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that older Arizonans do not have to renew their licenses for another year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
