The new Farmington High School is opening its doors for the first time Monday. The community was invited to check out the new multi-million dollar building which had been years in the making.

Back in 2017, Farmington voters rejected building a new high school 2-1. On Thursday, Farmington voters cast their ballots again but this time approved building a new high school 2-1.

The town’s only high school has had “10 new additions over 65 years,” including in 1952, 1964, 1978, 1996 and 2003, according to a video by the Farmington High School School Building Committee.
