Governor Ron DeSantis has signed the state’s budget with just one day left before the start of the new fiscal year.

Tallahassee — Gov. Ron DeSantis approved an austere $115 billion spending plan on the last day of the fiscal year Monday, one that is less than the current budget yet still delivers almost $1 billion in tax savings for Florida businesses.

One day before the start of the fiscal year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a roughly $115 billion budget into law, after vetoing nearly $600 million in spending. The spending plan is about $3 billion less than the current year, and comes after a protracted negotiation between the House and Senate over tax cuts that delayed its approval.
