Three companies announced a joint venture for the planned surf resort at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach Fire crews responded to a fire Tuesday evening at an Ocean Boulevard resort, Cpt. Jon Evans said. The fire started in a room on the third floor of the Boardwalk Beach Resort, 2301 N.
