Athletics rookie infielder Joshua Kuroda-Grauer underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured testicle on Monday night after an injury during a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.

In just 16 games with the Athletics, Joshua Kuroda-Grauer posted a 175 OPS+ and 0.6 bWAR, making his absence particularly unfortunate.

Dr. Ali Borhan said because Kuroda-Grauer is so young and he got help so quickly, he's on track to recover well from the ruptured testicle.
