According to a recent DGIF report, the best of what Virginia offers in walleye fishing is found in the South Holston Reservoir and its tributary, the South Holston River.

Lake Erie's conditions finally improved in early June, allowing boaters to launch and fish. A fishing trip on June 3 resulted in a full catch limit of walleye for two fishermen.
