The longest animal on Earth produces a toxin powerful enough to kill cockroaches and crabs
The toxins were first detected in the mucus coating a bootlace worm species that holds the record as the world’s longest animal, says Ulf Göransson, a pharmacognosist at Uppsala University in Sweden.
