The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen struck what it said was a shipment of arms coming from the Emirates and intended for a separatist group. The Emiratis denied there were weapons in the shipment.

CAIRO, Dec 30 (Reuters) - ‌The ​United Arab ‌Emirates' defence ministry ​said on Tuesday it ‍has voluntarily ended ​the mission ​of ⁠its counterterrorism units in Yemen, the only remaining forces it has in the country ‌after ending its military presence ​in ‌2019.

Saudi Arabia bombed Yemen’s Mukalla port after alleging UAE-backed separatists smuggled weapons, warning Emirati actions were “dangerous.”
