The Toronto Blue Jays have been without Bo Bichette since Sunday, but John Schneider gave reporters some good news on his shortstop.

Ahead of Thursday’s game, manager John Schneider provided an encouraging update on Bichette’s status, per MLB.com’s Keegan Matheson. Schneider noted that Bichette is going through a full pre-game routine on Thursday and has a strong chance of returning soon.

Bichette is enjoying a solid bounceback campagin after he was limited to just 81 games last season. In 83 games this year, the 27-year-old is slashing .272/.311/.427 with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 97 hits — the fifth-most in the American League.
