The first female mayor in New Orleans’ 300-year history has been charged with conspiracy, fraud and obstruction.

NEW ORLEANS — With Mayor LaToya LaToya Cantrell now under federal indictment, accused of fraud, conspiracy, and covering up her alleged crimes, all eyes will now shift to federal court as the city waits to see how the 11 charges against her play out.
