MSNBC announced a new name for the network on Monday after being thrown out of the NBCUniversal club and forced to drop both the NBC and the peacock logo from their branding. The network’s new name will be MS NOW.
The network will rebrand as MS NOW as a result of its move from Comcast to Versant. As a result, MS NOW and other channels involved in the move will lose their NBC peacock logo, as Comcast owns NBCUniversal.

When MSNBC spins off from NBCUniversal (NBCU) by the end of its year to become an independent company, it will have a new name and logo. MSNBC will become My Source News Opinion World (MS NOW), and the multicolored Peacock logo MSNBC now borrows from its outgoing parent company will be replaced with a new red, white, and blue mark.
MSNBC is undergoing a makeover. As part of a new company, Versant, to be spun off from NBCUniversal in late 2025, the home of popular left-leaning hosts like Rachel Maddow and Jen Psaki will adopt a new name and logo.

The network has been building its own separate news division from NBC News. It will also remove NBC’s peacock symbol from its logo as part of the change.
The change comes as MSNBC and other Comcast cable networks are set to spin off into a separate company, Versant, led by Mark Lazarus. In addition to MSNBC, CNBC, Golf Channel, GolfNow, and SportsEngine will also be joining Versant and all will be losing the iconic Peacock logo.
