Unclaimed items from Disney’s lost and found will go to a number of nonprofit organizations that operate thrift shops. These organizations then sell the items at a discounted rate to raise money.

At Disney World, every three months, the resort drives 40 miles north and donates shipments of lost items to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida Thrift store.

Every day, people leave sunglasses, jackets, smartphones and Mickey Mouse ears, which then go to lost and found. But what happens after they end up there?
