You can hide your taskbar using Windows 11 settings, but that won't hide it completely. The only way to do that is to use a third-party application.

Change the position of On-screen Indicators in Windows 11 using Settings or REGEDIT. Select Top left, Top center, or Bottom center position.

The default taskbar size can be restored by returning to step 5 and deleting the TaskbarSi value. After a reboot, the Windows 11 taskbar will return to its normal size.

Windows 10 and previous versions of Windows allowed you to move the taskbar to either side of the screen, but Microsoft removed that functionality when it made Windows 11.

Three and a half years after the release of Windows 11, I still need a registry tweak or a third-party program just to get my taskbar on the top of my screen.
