Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 p.m. Voters will be deciding on several local issues, from the Mayor to the city council, and levies for different initiatives. Dayton residents will be voting in the city’s Mayoral race, featuring incumbent Jeffrey Mims and challenger Shanice Turner-Sloss.
The poll, which surveyed just over 2,400 voters, comes a day after the same polling outfit had Cuomo trailing Mamdani by six points.
According to the poll, Democrats have an edge over Republicans, but GOP voters view their party more favorably than Democratic voters do. The poll found that 80% of Republican and Republican-leaning voters view their party favorably, while only 65% of Democrats view their party favorably.
