One person was shot and killed at a park in Southwest Philadelphia Monday night, police said. Police are on the scene at 57th Street and Grays Avenue where the male victim was shot in the head just before 9 p.m., Chief Inspector Scott Small said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, Small said.

Detectives said Anthony Jerome Sharpe Jr. of Smyrna, Delaware, was sitting near the slides at Russell DeRitis Playground along Grays Avenue when a gunman snuck up behind him and shot him several times.

Officials say the remains were found inside a construction trailer at the intersection of 51st Street and Grays Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.
