A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a serious assault. Police were called to Castle Street, Taunton, by the ambulance service shortly after 06:35 BST on Friday morning. A man in his mid-30s was taken to hospital with injuries that were initially thought to be life-threatening, but he has since been discharged.

WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. — A gunfire incident in West Melbourne has ended with a man behind bars. The investigation started when police say they responded to a call around South Wickham Road and Coral Drive Thursday afternoon. Officers say they found bullet casings, but everyone involved had already fled.

A teenager faces an attempted murder charge for her alleged role in a Southeast Portland shooting in April, police said. Police served search warrants on June 18 and arrested Lulahni Lipai, 17, of Portland, and Rachael Bailey, 37, also of Portland.
