Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was returned to the U.S. last month, said he suffered severe beatings and psychological torture during his time in then notorious El Salvador prison after being deported in March.

At the notorious CECOT prison, he was forced to frog-march, had to kneel from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and was subjected to beatings and threats, his lawyers said Wednesday.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia says said he was kicked and hit so often after arrival that by the following day, he had visible bruises and lumps all over his body.
