Boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. was deported to Mexico and is in jail in Northern Mexico after U.S. immigration arrested him for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application.

The fighter, arrested by U.S. agents last month shortly after a loss to Jake Paul, was sent to his native Mexico, where a warrant for his arrest has been outstanding since 2023.

Julio César Chávez Jr., son of the legendary Mexican boxer, has been deported to Mexico, where authorities say he faces charges of organized crime affiliation and arms trafficking.
