A winter storm will bring the Lehigh Valley sleet, snow and freezing rain Wednesday night into Thursday, prompting a winter weather advisory.

The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories in 11 New Jersey counties for a fast-moving winter storm expected to bring a dangerous mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and plain rain starting late Wednesday.

A winter storm will bring snow and freezing rain to Connecticut Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the weather service said.

An approaching system could bring up to 5 inches of snow and ice, and disrupt morning and afternoon travel before a flip to rain in some places.
