A weak front will bring scattered showers and storms to the region, more specifically Central Texas, on Thursday, May 1, into Friday, May 2, according to the NWS. If these storms become severe, the main threat will be large hail and damaging winds.

Storms are expected to return to North Texas in the coming week, following a brief break on Sunday. Sunny and dry conditions are on the forecast for Dallas-Fort Worth Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The lull in precipitation will allow temperatures to climb well into the 80s Friday afternoon, so it will feel warm outside.
