Reports: UW MBB Assistant Tony Bland Leaving for Kansas
Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Washington assistant coach Tony Bland is expected to be hired in the same role at the University of Kansas. The Jayhawks have had multiple departures on their staff this season with assistant Norm Roberts retiring in May and assistant Chris Buford leaving recently for an NBA job with the Denver Nuggets.

Tony Bland will soon join the Kansas men’s basketball team as an assistant coach, a source confirmed to the Journal-World on Tuesday afternoon. Bland comes to KU after most recently serving for one season as an assistant coach on Danny Sprinkle’s staff at Washington.
