May 17, 2024 · Another vet for Chicago. Canes sign dman Joakim Ryan to a 1 year, 2 way deal. He gets the NHL minimum and $110k in the AHL. His last NHL contract was with the Canes, in 2020-21. He played 4 games for the Canes and 4 for the Wolves that season. He spent the last 3 seasons with Malmo in Sweden, where Wolves coach Cam Abbott got a good look at him.

Jun 1, 2024 #135 Seeing several teams claiming Necas could be the fix they need (CBJ, Phil, Pitt, Bos, MTL, NYI, freaking Utah,etc.). A sign and trade could be a lucrative deal for the Hurricanes, providing the buyer has what Carolina wants/ needs. If the desperation level is high enough, Carolina could really pull some nice pieces out of this.
