As a design, the Ercoupe is one that I've seen pretty regularly through the years in competition as it's a very forgiving flyer. This one was built from a Balsa USA Airplanes kit and finished really nicely and had all of the scale features indicative of the full scale airplane. David

CHECKING OUT A VINTAGE ERCO ERCOUPE AIRCRAFT Planes have evolved significantly over the years, and understanding vintage aircraft provides a fascinating glimpse into the future of aviation. One aircraft that recently caught my attention at the DPR-PATS campus is the vintage ERCO Ercoupe, manufactured in the 1940s. So, how did planes look during that time? I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to get up close to the Ercoupe, conduct a walk-around, and even start the plane and run its engine!
