I scanned a mom last week. All I saw was a gestational sac, no heartbeat yet. I assured her that was normal for an early pregnancy (5ish weeks), she expected to be a little further along based on her last period, but those calculations, sooo often, just aren't perfect. I told her to give it a week, come back, and we would likely see a heartbeat. She trusts her doctor, as we should be able to do, so she called to let them know I had only seen a gestational sac, and she showed them the pictures. T
