One of our covered aviaries houses roughly 150 cockatiels and is considered full. Yes, we could stuff more birds in there but it's not fair to diminish the welfare of animals who are already living with us in order to accommodate new ones. Sadly because of their small size, many cockatiels are purchased as "starter pets" and we continue to turn away parrots of all sizes in need of a forever home on a weekly basis :-( Having to say no to an animal in need is the worst part of our job. So please,
